Life-Changing

On February 24, 2021, at 4:49 AM, our lives changed forever when we welcomed our son Marcos into the world. 😍

It was a beautiful experience and a memory that I will treasure forever.

It still feels surreal that the child that we are holding now, was still in the womb just a couple of weeks ago.

Having my son reminded me of the beautiful promises that God promised in the Bible. ❤️

Here are some promises that I have enjoyed these past weeks. 👇

"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart." - Jeremiah 1:5

I am reminded that we are all beautifully and wonderfully made.

“In fact, even the hairs on your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are more valuable than many sparrows.” - Luke 12:17

I am reminded that we are all made in the image of God.

Every one of us has inherent worth, dignity, and value.

“You know when I sit down and when I get up; even from far away you understand my motives.

You carefully observe me when I travel or when I lie down to rest; you are aware of everything I do.” - Psalms 139:2-3

I am reminded that we have a God that takes a personal interest in our lives.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not try to stop them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” - Matthew 19:14

I am reminded that age is no barrier to salvation.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11

I am comforted that the future of this child is in God’s hands.

“Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him." - Psalms 127:3

I am reminded that we have a responsibility as parents to bring up our child in God’s will.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting last” - John 3:16

I am reminded that God gave His only Son to die on the cross for our sins.

He died that we might live.

Being a new dad, made me appreciate more of what God has done for us, for me.

“So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away—look, what is new has come!” - 2 Corinthians 5:17

Just as a newborn child changes the life of a parent, I am reminded that as a Christian, I am also spiritually born again, and my life should be changed to imitate Christ.

Have you experienced your life changed by Christ?

This is a start of a new chapter for me and my wife.

We are both excited and nervous!

But we trust that everything is in God’s hands and all will work out according to His will. 🙏
